Massimo Constantino
Tenor
Costantino Massimo was born on 11/28/1976 in Athens, Greece.
At the State Conservatory of Athens, he studied singing, piano and musicology.
Master classes with Marcella Crudeli, Prof. Antonio Konstantino, Nikolai Petrov, conductor Giorgos Hatzinikos, Birgit Nickl and Dimitra Theodossiou complete his studies. He is currently studying next to Dale Fundling.
He is participating to numerous opera productions already during his studying period, at the National Opera of Greece in Athens. In 2004 he makes his debut there as Nemorino in G. Donizetti’s “Elirir d’amore”.
Other engagements have taken place to the State Opera of Thessaloniki, “Athens Megaron” opera concert hall, Chamber Opera of Athens in Greece, in Liverpool and Preston in United Kingdom, in the Theatres of Kassel, Wuppertal and Detmold in Germany where he sung amongst other parts, Tamino (WA Mozart, “Die Zauberflöte”), Froh (R. Wagner “Rheingold”), Cavaradossi (G. Puccini, «Tosca»), Kronprinz Georg (F. Lehár, «Schön ist die Welt»), Hans (L. Jessel, «Schwarzwaldmädel»), Iro (C. Monteverdi, «Il ritorno d' Ulisse in patria»).
Amongst the stage directors he worked with are: Joseph Franconi Lee, Michael Hampe, Christofer Alden, Jochen Biganzoli while amongst the conductors he worked with are Sir Neville Marriner, Vassilis Christopoulos, Laurent Pillot, Patrik Ringborg, Lukas Karytinos.
Since 2004 he has been dubbing songs and prose to cartoon movies (e.g. Happy Feet, Nightmare Before Christmas, Meet the Robinsons, The little Mermaid, The Lorax), Documentaries and TV Series in Greek.
