Fideli Marina

Mezzo Soprano

 

Marina Fideli was born in Volos in Greece.
 
After, obtaining her Diploma in Economic Sciences at the University of Athens, started her vocal studying in Athens, where she graduated awarding the first prize. She attented Master Classes under K. Paskalis, M. Lilowa, I.Cotrubas, L. Alva, F. Voutsinos, Z. Pilou, A. Christofellis.
 
She continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna under the Chamber vocalist Margarita Lilowa and scenic interpretation under Pr. C. Malm. Since 1993, she has performed in a number of greek and foreign concerts at the Megaron Moussikis in Athens working alongside with prominent conductors such as Y. Talmi, W. Roegner, M. Schoenwandt, A. Gatto, G. Sanzogno, Cl. Scimone, K. Karidis, with well known orchestras like the Berliner Sinfonie - Orchester, the Hamburger Symphoniker, the Budapest Opera Orchesta und the Solisti Veneti and with distinguished colleagues such as Sir D. Mc Intyre, F. Grundheber, G. Tichy, A. Badea, B. Brinkmann, R. Willershauser, A Fondari, A. Cupido, N. Sekunde, A. Agache).
 
Since 1997, she has started her collaboration with the Greek National Opera with the 2. Dame (Die Zauberflöte) followed by Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte ), Cenerentola(La Cenerentola), Adalgisa (Norma), Smeton (Anna Bolena), Nicklaus (Les contes d Hoffmann).She has also performed as a soloist with all the main Greek Symphony Orchestras, demonstrating a wide aesthetic range.
 
Since 2003 Marina Fideli has been a permanent member of the Kiel Opera in Germany, enjoying a great success performing amongst others roles such as Adalgisa (Norma), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Giovanna Seymour (Anna Bolena), Laura (La Gioconda), Preziosilla (La Forza del destino), Charlotte (Werther), Sesto (La clemenza di Tito), Orlofsky (Fledermaus), Carmen (Carmen), Wagner s Wesendonck - Lieder and G. Mahler s Das Lied von der Erde, Eboli (Don Carlos), Isabella (L’ Italiana in Algeri), Amneris (Aida).
 
Her repertoire also features symphonic works, oratorios and lieder.
Marina Fideli regularly gives concerts of chamber music both in Germany and Greece.
